1. Air India Senior Citizen Discount In 2022  

Air India announced an offer for their beloved senior customers and the concession they offered is up to 50% discounts on their flight tickets. You can avail of this offer on most of their air routes, and it can be easily found on their website. This scheme is provided for people above the age of 60, and the ticket should be bought at least 3 days before the scheduled flight. This pretty much summarises the concession scheme for Air India, and now let us elaborate on the eligibility, documents required, and the terms and conditions for this scheme. 

• To be eligible for this offer, the senior needs to be over 60 years at the date of the journey. 
• You will require a valid photo ID that mentions your date of birth like a Pan card, Voter’s ID, Aadhar card, Driver’s license, or even the senior citizen ID card that is offered by Air India.  
• The 50% discount in question only pertains to certain booking classes in the economy range of the airline.  
• The discount is valid on tickets that are purchased at least 3 days before the scheduled timing of the flight and are valid for at most one year from the date it was issued.   
• Flight changes, date changes, cancellations, and refunds on this offer are available; however, a certain fee applies to these conditions.  
• In case, the person in question fails to present their ID at check-in or the boarding gate of the flight, the ticket will become non-refundable, the fare will have to be forfeited, and boarding can and will be denied if failed to meet the aforementioned rule. 

2. Indigo Senior Citizen Concession   

Indigo airlines introduced their senior citizen concession where people over the age of 60 get up to 10% off on their base fare price, this offer is available through their website where you can opt for the senior citizen discount. This discount is available on all domestic flights, they can either be a one-way or round trip, and the same discount applies in all cases. The terms and conditions for Indigo airlines regarding the senior citizen concession are: 

• This scheme is available for senior citizens over the age of 60 who will need to bring a valid Identification source that has their correct date of birth on it. Failure to do so will result in charging prevailing fees. 
• If you book your ticket under the 6E senior citizen discount, your bookings are allowed to be changed or cancelled.  
• This scheme discount however cannot be combined with other discounts/promotions available on the website.  
• The tickets booked are non-transferrable to another name, as the name changes are not permitted.  
• Bookings under this scheme are applicable, however certain charges may apply. 
• You have to keep in mind that Indigo reserves the right to amend, modify or cancel flights without any prior notice. 
• The changing fee in the 0-3 days window of the scheduled date of the flight is 3000 INR or the Airfare charges while including the difference in the fare, the option that constitutes the lower amount applies to this category.  
• The changing fee for the 4 days or higher window, in this case, is 2500 INR or the Airfare charges while including the difference in the fare, the option that constitutes the lower amount applies to this category.  
• The cancellation fee for the 0-3 days window is 3500 INR or the Airfare charges while including the difference in the fare, the option that constitutes the lower amount applies to this category. 
• For the 4 days or above window the cancellation fee is 3000 INR or the Airfare charges while including the difference in the fare, the option that constitutes the lower amount applies to this category.  

3. GoAir Senior Citizen Discount In 2022  

GoAir is currently offering an 8% discount on their base price for both their domestic and international flights for their senior customers.   

• The website specifies that bookings made under this scheme are non-transferable and only available to people over the age of 60.   
• You will need to carry a valid form of ID that has your correct date of birth printed on it. Failing to do so will result in no discount and the person in question will have to pay the fare that was previously discounted at the time of booking.  
• There is no web check-in or kiosk check-in option available for this scheme as an option.  
• This service is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.  

4. Jet Airways Senior Citizen Flight Concession  

Jet Airways is providing their senior flyers with an 8% exclusive discount on their flight tickets, given that the ticket is purchased at least 15 days before the scheduled date of journey. 

• To avail of this offer, you can book through their website or mobile application. The person availing the offer needs to be over the age of 60, and have a valid ID with their DOB printed on it.   
• Failing to do so will result in rejection at the boarding area, and keep in mind that inventory space for the people availing of this offer is limited.
